- How to Use Adobe Flash : Video Component in Flash CS3 Pt.2
Hi this is Bill McPherson for ExpertVillage. Okay in the last clip I showed you how to directly import a video which converts it to a Flash video.
Uh in this clip I’m going to show you how to just set up a video component. Now you wanna bring up your ‘Components’, which is under Window. ‘Components’ and go on to the ‘Videos’ section – ‘VLV Playback’. Now you would have already had to create your Flash video. You could have done this with your Batch Convert which I’m gonna show you on another clip. So you grab this, you just drag it to your stage and you can see it brings it up and then you want to go to ‘Parameters’. So you bring up your Parameters which is also under Window, ‘Component Inspector’. There’s your ‘Parameters’.
Now there’s many things you can set here, Auto Play, Auto Rewind, your ‘Proper Time’ and right here it says ‘Content Path’. This is where you set the movie that you want to play in here. So you wanna click here and you can choose on your computer where the file is. We’ll choose this one and of course you can set it to match the dimensions of this file. We’ll have that selected. And as you can see a change in the size of the movie and once you have everything set here you also can change the ‘skin’ here.
Once you have everything set, you just close that down and your Flash movie is ready to play inside a Flash. And that’s how you set up a Flash movie using the movie component in Flash CS 3. I’m Bill McPherson for ExpertVillage.
In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
