You are watching the creating simple application with components video. My name is Buck DeFore.
I will show you haw to do it. First take a list of the stage and the button underneath it… and let’s give the name to the list. Do that by selecting it…and…; calling it by my list to the parameter panel. You can also go to the properties panel. Either one is fine you can do that by button called my button. And in my button you can go to the parameters panel and give a label called eath item what does that mean.
Well what we gonna do is, we gonna put food items into the list and as you select them with the click of a button we eat them and remove from the list. Pretty basic application but that is the idea. Now we can name these items we can reference some from the action script.
Open the action panel. We first want to import the classes that we are going to use to create this application. So I am going to import need a flash events and FL name space events.
The FL name space is useful for the component events, and also you import FL.Data.dataprovider that is because we are going to source the information in my list from the data provider.
In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again..
